Regional HR manager

Regional HR manager, Latin America and Caribbean

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HR practitioner to join Christian Aid’s Department of Organisational Development and Performance. You will be part of a team focussed on building high performance across the whole of the organisation’ s work.

In this role, you will take the lead on all regional human resources and learning and development activities in the Latin America and Caribbean region. You will work closely with the Head of Region and other managers to deliver a high quality HR service, raise the profile of HR and contribute to the organisational goals. You will provide sound guidance and professional advice in accordance with employment legislation, organisational policies and best practice, in the areas of change management, recruitment and retention, employee relations, development, reward, policy development and performance management.

You will have strong business acumen and experience of preparing information and reports for senior management. You must possess presence and credibility to build relationships at all levels and have excellent communication and influencing skills. Added to this you must have the ability to provide reactive support on a timely basis to meet the business needs, balanced against proactive assignments.

You will have a strong background in operational and strategic HR, be qualified to degree level and also possess a professional qualification in a HR-related discipline with a sound knowledge of Employment Law. You will need to communicate fluently verbally and in writing, both in English and Spanish. Basic communication in French or Portuguese is desirable.
